Piroctone Olamine is White to pale yellow crystalline powder, characteristics smell.Soluble in alcohol (10%),Soluble in water – watch live system and water – glycol system (1-10%). Slightly soluble in water (0.05%) and oil (0.05-0.1%). Special and widely used anti-dandruff which may be used in all kinds of hair products.
The anti-dandruff product containing Piroctone Olamine destroys the fungus infection that is responsible for the dandruff and works against the formation of new dandruff, makes the scalp stay clean, itch free.
Piroctone Olamine is a particular salt that is also known as Octopirox and Piroctone ethanolamine. It is a compound, which is often used to cure fungal infections. This salt is a hydroxamic acid derivative Piroctone.It is often used in anti-dandruff shampoo as a replacement for the commonly used compound zinc pyrithione
