Solubility: 0.2 g/L in water (20ºC), very soluble in organic solvent such as alcohol, ether, ketone, etc., and soluble in alkaline solutions.

DCMX also called 2, 4-Dichloro-3, 5-Xylenol, is a white to light yellow flake. DCMX is a secure and efficient antiseptic. It’s slightly soluble in water (20ºC, 0.2g/L), very soluble in organic solvent such as alcohol, ether, ketone, etc., and dissolves in solutions of alkali hydroxides.It’s frequently used in such industry fields as personal care products such as hand-cleaning detergent, soap, dandruff control shampoo and healthy products, film, gluewater, oiled, textile and paper making, etc.

DCMX Application

This product is low-poison antibacterial, frequently used in glue, painting, textile, pulp,etc.

Coating Surface: as fungicide added in the coating, suitable for humid environment;

Glue and adhesive: prevent microbial decomposition, avoid the production of odor, plug filters and corrosion of metal, to prevent product failure;

Leather treatment: protects against mildew and attacks by bacteria and fungi (especially salted fur, vegetable leather, and salted or dried raw animal skin) .
