It is a white flow able powder, strong moisture absorbability (but do not reduce effect while moisturing) with particular smell, easily dissolved in water but hardly in oil.

Diazolidinyl Urea prevents or retards bacterial growth, and thus protects cosmetics and personal care products from spoilage. Diazolidinyl Urea is an effective preservative against bacteria, yeast and molds. This helps to protect the product from inadvertent contamination by the consumer during use. Diazolidinyl Urea works by slowly releasing a small amount of formaldehyde into the formlation.

Diazolidinylurea is widely used as antiseptic in creams, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, liquid cosmetics and eye-cosmetics. Recommended dosage 0.1-0.3%, PH= 3-9,  temperature<50℃. It will be more effective if combined with Parabens.
